We have two houses that are nestled at the foot of the Slieve Foy Mountains that are one hour’s drive from Dublin and one hour’s drive from Belfast. We are located in the townland of Corrakitt, in the village of Omeath, County Louth. Omeath is a beautiful sea facing village that has a newly refurbished quay, a fabulous new Greenway to the Medieval village of Carlingford and to the bustling city of Newry, and a new bridge (under construction) linking Omeath to Warrenpoint and the Mourne Mountains. Our mission is to allow as many guests as possible to experience this amazing area, therefore we welcome couples and small groups.
The Nest Cottage
The Nest Cottage built in the early 18th Century, still has many of the old characteristics blended with modern facilities. We can sleep 2-15 guests having 3 spacious double bedrooms. The newly fitted kitchen with utility area, means you can cook, if you wish, the sitting room has a smart TV for your entertainment pleasure, and the bathroom has modern shower facilities. The outdoor area is equipped with a hot tub, wood burning fire stove, pizza oven, barbecue and picnic tables & chairs, all covered in area.
The Mountain House
The Mountain House is situated on the same lane, just above The Nest and we have matched all the same amenities inside and out. We can facilitate couples who wish to relax and unwind or groups that would like to celebrate a special occasion. The Mountain House can sleep 2-13 guests and we can arrange beds accordingly. The covered outdoor space includes hot tub, as well as having a pizza oven, gas barbecue, wood burning stove and outdoor dining area. Our Activities Barn is located beside The Mountain House but can be used for guests in The Nest Cottage.
